RESET are an exciting contemporary dance company based in Nottingham.
The company was formed to inspire the next generation of dancers with the aspirations of promoting dance and the arts across Nottinghamshire whilst providing excellent opportunities to young people.
The company aims to provide accessible & relatable dance performance work and screendance to audiences of all ages.
RESET aims to draw people from across the industry and prove that dance is more than just being a performer. The company are hands on in their approach to creation and have a wide range of skills that gives them their own unique contribution into the work they produce.
NICOLA BURT
Founder
After graduating from the Laban Centre, Nicky began a long and rewarding career in Education. Primarily working alongside Degree students, Nicky had the pleasure in seeing many making their mark in the dance world. Returning to developing her skills, she gained a Master’s Degree in Dance Making and Performance at Coventry University whilst continuing to teach and formed the postgraduate company; RESET in the summer of 2021. The aim of the company is to reach out to the wider community and promote the many benefits that dance can offer. So far, the company has been supported by Nottingham College and are grateful of the partnership support of Inspire Youth Arts, creative support of Tom Dale Company and the general support & mentorship of FABRIC.
