MEET THE TEAM
CARA VERNEY
Co-Artistic Director & Outreach Coordinator
Cara is a Dance Artist, Teacher, Arts Administrator & Assistant Producer working across the East Midlands. Cara delivers inclusive dance practice & project based work to young people across Nottinghamshire in youth, SEND & education settings; working for FABRIC and Inspire Youth Arts.
Graduated in 2020 from Leeds Beckett University with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance, Cara’s multidisciplinary work finds her crossing paths in creating, choreographing, performing, screendance, teaching & facilitating, producing and arts administration roles. She specialises in flowing and dynamic movement.
The core of Cara’s work is working with young people, allowing them to influence her work as she inspires them to reach their own creative potential.

Cara's most recent work finds her assisting the running of the East Midlands Centre for Advanced Training Programme (CAT) at FABRIC, in the role of CAT Administrator.

Cara is the founder of and is one of the lead artists for our youth dance company RESET Youth Co.
ANITA WARNE
Co-Artistic Director & Project Coordinator
Anita Harvey-Warne is a contemporary dancer and choreographer, based in the Midlands. She has a deep commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and acceptance through her work.
Her current role within the company sees her being the Project Coordinator for our R&D project PLAY.
Anita holds a BA in Theatre Arts (Dance) from Nottingham Trent University and has been involved in a wide array of artistic roles since graduating. Anita has collaborated with several notable companies including Spiltmilk Dance, where she works as an Early Career Performer Trainee, assisting with production, rehearsals, and their Autumn 2023 tour of Desert Island Flicks.
In addition to her work with RESET, Anita supports FABRIC as maternity cover for the CAT Administrator for the Centre for Advanced Training Programme for young dancers, as well as serving as a dance artist at Studiopointe.
SOPHIE WILSON
Co-Artistic Director & Finance Coordinator
Sophie is a freelance dance artist & teacher working in Nottinghamshire. Sophie delivers contemporary classes for a range of ages and ability, working in schools and youth projects.
Sophie graduated in 2018 from Nottingham Trent University, with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance, at this time she also trained with award winning Street dance crew Beatbots.
As a young person, Sophie trained at Dance4 (now FABRIC) under the CAT scheme for 5 years.
Sophie specialises in dynamic floor work in contemporary and street dance.
Sophie is one of the lead artists for our youth dance company RESET Youth Co.
EMMA FARRELL-TEARSE
Company Dancer & Wellbeing Coordinator
Emma is currently working in education delivering dance and PE since graduating with her PGCE in Dance from Bishop Grosseteste University in 2019.
Prior to this Emma completed her A levels and BA in Performing Arts at Nottingham Trent through Nottingham College.
Emma has worked with Inspiritive Arts delivering dance for dementia sessions and regularly runs sessions within private dance school settings.

Emma and Alice deliver movement for wellbeing sessions as part of RESET-Move.
COURTNEY WALKER
Company Dancer
Courtney is a Dancer, working within education and the private dance school sector around the East Midlands. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance and Choreography from De Montfort University in 2021. She studied dance at Nottingham College from 2014-2017.
Courtney has participated in several projects around Nottingham, which gave her the opportunity to perform at well-known venues such as Nottingham Playhouse, Theatre Royal and The Royal Concert Hall. Courtney recently went to New York as she had the opportunity to perform on Broadway with the dance school she currently teaches at.
Courtney specialises in being a fully qualified yoga practitioner alongside her dance teaching.
ALICE KIRKBY
Company Dancer & Wellbeing Coordinator
Alice is a Dance Artist based in Nottinghamshire. Her dance journey began in 2012, on the BTEC Diploma course at Nottingham College and continued her journey with them till she graduated with a Performing Arts bachelor degree in 2017.
From then she became freelance, Alice has taken on responsibilities including choreographing, producing and directing stage school musicals such as Wicked, Hairspray & School of Rock.
Alice is a health and well-being practitioner, facilitating movement classes to help develop people’s well-being through creativity.
Alice and Emma deliver movement for wellbeing sessions as part of RESET-Move.
